He is director of marketing for Chunk-n-Chip Cookies a gourmet artisan dessert brand in Southern California and their voice and community manager online. He also consults on Social Media, Marketing Strategies, Sales and Business Development, and all forms of Advertising and Marketing for small and medium sized consumer businesses.
He had a 14-year career in direct B2B industrial sales before deciding to lighten up his dreary work life and move into advertising/marketing. He has a CFO’s view of marketing, bringing a dose of reality to the confusing world of jargon, spin, and hype.
Formerly the Chief Alien and CEO of Sky Pulse Media he is now the Chief Alien just here on this blog, with marketing insights that come from outside of the industry. He fully believes the reason 50% of marketing/ad spend is wasted is because marketers and advertisers prefer it that way, otherwise their billings would drop by 50% and who wants that? Oh Clients. Right.
The goal of this blog is to offer insights and reality so that Clients can determine the real value of marketing channels and grow their businesses with strategies and tactics that fit their goals and needs, not the needs of their Agencies, which is to bill them more.
